Our friends Jane and Josh went on this adventure to capture some of these great pictures, not great because of the people in them necessarily, but because of the beautiful place God has put us in! Jeff and I were in complete awe and wonder of this 'secret spot' and its glory of God's handy work! Truly breathtaking...
Has also been a great experience getting to know this couple and sharing our family, kids and home with them! They are truly a blessing and a special treasure to us all. I think that no matter what happens in the future, and where the Lord leads our families, we have a bond with them that will never die!
To: J&J -Thanks for the memories, not only of that picture day (the rattle snake and all), but also of the sweet sweet times, memories, conversations, the many Apples to Apples games, cookies dough eating, smores roasting, family camping in the rain, for loving on our kids and having pillow fights in the living room... i think the list could go on... We love ya both! May God bless you~

Last night was the kindergarden concert...all 4 kindergarden class got together and preformed many cute and adorable nursery rhymes! Sophia and her class did, Jack be Nimble and Jack and Jill! too adorable!
Tiffany sat in the front row with her little girlfirends and filmed it for us (not too great quality but we'll see if we can get that on here too).
Sophia has a friend from pre-school her in kindergarden class named Shelby and they love after school play dates!
Sophia's teacher, Mrs. Carroll is a great and amazing teacher, pushing Sophia to try more and step outside her comfort zone! Today is a field trip to the fire department, first ride on a REAL school bus! You can imagine the excitement for Sophia!
Kate and Gena and I got to get away for a little R&R for 4 days to VEGAS...we had a great time, great warm weather, pool time, eating and lots of laughs, and we shopped everywhere!
We were all so excited to get the the pumpkin patch again this year. Last year Nana Dawn got to go with us so we were sorry to not have her around this time. We had fun, pony rides, animal car train ride, climbing up the pirate ship, petting zoo, Clydesdale horses, and picking out pumpkins! We skipped the corn maze this year due to freezing cold and super windy conditions (i wore a t-shirt, a long sleeve, and hooded sweatshirt and a down filled vest, still cold! Mom- you would have hated it). We had lunch at the Terrebonne Depot, yum! Was a fun day, pumpkin carving-tomorrow!

... WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM PDT FRIDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PENDLETON HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM PDT FRIDAY.
NUMEROUS SNOW SHOWERS WILL DEVELOP IN CENTRAL OREGON TONIGHT AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED ABOVE 3000 FEET.
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES... AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING. FOR ADDITIONAL WEATHER INFORMATION...
Ok, so funny thing... I started looking through my pictures to find a picture of my dad to post with his birthday greeting...i looked and looked, even went back to before we moved to Oregon and i couldnt find one single good one. Ya, there were some of him afar off or in the backround, but i wanted a good close up of him. I asked Jeff if he happened to have any pictures of my dad on his computer and he had a few from this last winter when they visited with snow on the ground and a couple more when they were just here helping us move. Jeff said to me, "Mission accomplished for your dad"! For those of you who know my dad, he HATES having his picture taken... so, mission accomplished POP! But sad, i have no good pictures of him.
This is his picture-less birthday greeting, just how he would like it!
Anyway, have a Happy Birthday Pop... we all love you and miss you very much!
"The sacrifice You want is a broken spirit. A broken and repentant heart, O God, you will not despise."
Already? i was shocked to see the snow covered mountain this morning... it was cold this morning! I cant believe winter is here...
Well you would think, "how fun, what a great idea". It was a great idea but didnt turn out so good. The directions tell you to use a melon ball to make the mini apples but when you dip them into the warm carmel it slides right off because of the wet apple :( I even tried drying off the mini apple a bit and letting the carmel cool, it still slides... sad!
So, i guess after dinner we will do a fondue style of the mini carmel apples... that will be yummy!
after a quick trip to Michaels and digging through 2 piles of boxes in the garage to find my decor from last year... i had fun!! (oh and thanks Ang for the inspiration!)
