located about 30 minutes outside of Bend. We spent the day in Sisters on Saturday, looking at the little shops, eating lunch and enjoying the cute quaintness of the old western town. We ate lunch at Bronco Billy's which is owned by McLintocks back in AG. The last picture is of the mountain range called "The 3 Sisters", so guess what we named them?
after mealtime is absolutely necessary now, straight from eating to kitchen sink...
Gena went into labor this weekend at 31 weeks. They got the contractions settled but now she is on full bedrest for at least 4 more weeks... pray for her body to relax, the baby to grow and be healthy, for her to be patient and content and to not get too restless...thanks!
We are still waiting to here from the gal who hit me, her insurance company... I have Allstate (thanks Michelle) and they had everything processed and going the very next day, I am impressed. So we will sit and wait for Geico to do what they do or need to do...pray for a good outcome! Will keep you posted...
we got a rental car in Portland, a blue ford explorer(is more comfy than the jeep). We went and hung out at Washington Square Mall where my sister works in an Aveda salon. The mall was a great way to end a hard few days. The way to a girls heart, lol!
The girls got to go to Build-a-bear Workshop, which they loved, and already wanna go back. I got to do some shopping too...I found a little piece of heaven there, A 2-STORY XXI (Forever 21). It was amazing :)
We all had a great night sleep in our own beds, great vacation but sure glad to be home!
is a pretty cool town. LOVE IT! Amanda drove my around her hometown tonight and we came back to the hotel to find Jeff in a zebra print bathrobe...what? Amanda and i were crackin up, something happened to Jeff in the accident, lol!
we left Whidbey Island and were headed to Portland to visit my sister, Amanda for a couple days... we made it just past Olympia Washington and obviously you can see what happened... We were in stop and go traffic and it started to pick up, then came to a screeching halt. the car in front of me slowed quickly and so I veered off the shoulder to make sure i had enough room to not hit him. Before i knew it the car behind me slammed right into the back of me and shoved me into the car in front. Needless to say, Jeff is pretty sure our car is totalled. GOOD NEWS: NO ONE IS HURT! my neck is soar but that was the extent of it, praise the Lord for his protection! So the police man took us to a nearby restaurant and left us stranded there for 4 hours with no car and all our luggage and 3 very good and patient girls! Amanda drove up from portland to pick us up. The 3 rental car places Jeff called were "sold out" or didn't have a car bigger than a small sedan. We will deal with a rental tomorrow, we are here safe and sound.

so the men all went to a baseball game today, Mainers vs. Twin, a good game from what i hear. They got home and Jeff and Mike went out to sea to pull up the 4 crab pots they put out last night, full of salmon guts and eggs as bait(nasty). There were 7 crabs in one pot alone and a bunch of ones that were too little to bring in (have to be a minimum of 6" across the back of the shell in width). Anyhow, here is where the story gets good... as they were pulling up a pot they saw some splashing over to the side and then look down and saw a THREE FOOT SHARK!!!! Crazy, it did take them forever to come back in and we all stood in wonder, but the pay off was great, lots o huge crab meat to dip in melted butter! Mmmm.... true fishermen encounter a shark!
had a great night of Monopoly playing last night here on Whiteby Island. Gena, Tim (genas dad), Mike, Diane and I all played. Was touch and go for a while but Mike and I ended up head to head at the end! Was a blast and the challenge continues tonight...
My friend and i just had a little chit-chat on instant messenger about how the Lord really does have a perfect plan for our lives, he has a perfect person out there for everyone. Even though in the midst of a relationship, or even a friendship with someone, you think you can't imagine your life without them and being married to them forever, your lives and circumstances change and you end up with someone else. You take them for granted for a time, from time to time...until you are taken back to a conversation with a person of your past (or lack of conversation), and you have an "epiphany"... God put you with that one perfect person that fits just right with you, imperfection and all ... love ya Bran
or at least an island off of Seattle for a week. We leave tonight and arrive tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to getting there and letting the kids run wild with not a care in the world...while Jeff and I spend time together sitting, sipping coffee, chatting with the family!
